Today we held our first ever MOVE Festival – it was absolutely brilliant and truly highlighted the enthusiasm and motivation felt by the pupils taking part for all things related to developing and promoting their physical independence. On Tuesday 3rd January our staff returned to work for a staff development day - having wished each other a happy new year, we spent the day refreshing our training, learning new skills and preparing for the new school term. IQM Cluster Visit

On Thursday we were delighted to host a cluster meeting for colleagues who also work within the Inclusion Quality Mark framework. Our visitors from a range of other flagship inclusion schools were absolutely blown away by Newfield. They took part in MOVE and Disability Awareness sessions and spent time in some classes and touring the school - with some students showing them round and talking about what they think of school…

This week TG2 have been on an adventure with Frozen Light Theatre Company’s interactive movie, The Nest. The students have travelled into the future of 2065 and played rebels to the state. We used blue light torches to find secret messages in invisible ink and we hid from the government helicopters…
