Welcome Back - New School Year

We had a wonderful return to school for all of our amazing children and young people on Wednesday, with lots of big smiles, hugs and enthusiasm - which is just how we like to start the new school year!

Everyone has been getting to know new classes, staff teams, friends in class and establishing new routines this week - whilst having lots of fun!

Children have been encouraged to take ownership of their classrooms and spaces around school by creating artwork they want on their classroom walls, and students in post 16 have been exploring our new class spaces to come up with ideas of how they can be organised and used.

S2 have enjoyed coming back to school. They have 3 children new to school in class who have made new friends with the other children. They have been out in the sensory playground while the sun is still shining.

C6 have been settling back into school with a brand new teacher and engaging with toys.

S4 shared a story yesterday that the children chose from a selection of 2 books offered. They all did some good signing, enjoyed dancing with staff when they did their morning exercises. Some children did some fantastic walking in MOVE, kicking the ball and rolling it back to each other - there was lots of laughing at each other!

And TG3 and many other groups have just been chilling and enjoying the late summer sun!

A big warm ‘Welcome Back’ to everyone in the Newfield Family.

How wonderful to see all the kids back into a safe place with staff who care about them and want the best for them.
