Lots more exciting trips going on this week. On Monday 3 classes went over to the Ark Education Barn farm at Clitheroe. As you will see from the photos children made some wonderful connections with the many animals - donkeys, llamas, goats, chickens, ducks…
Summer Trips 2023 - part III

More exciting trips have taken place this week, with another jaunt to St Annes where the beach seems to go on for miles, so they were glad of the chips afterwards - and 2 primary classes enjoying a visit to the Sea Life Centre Manchester. Class 4 & 5 had a great time, they particularly enjoyed seeing the sharks, HUGE turtle and stingrays. It was dark, but we felt like we were under water with all of the animals!

More trips have been taking place, to Blackpool zoo again, to St Annes by the sea and everyone is having a fantastic time. Back in school, children h having been enjoying having lots of fun in the sun, playing outside and cooling down with lots of water play in the shade!

We have lots of friends here at Newfield and some of our children having been having a fantastic time in the nice weather with their friends both in and out of school. We have begun a link with St Antony’s RC Primary, just down the road from us, and on Monday this was very successful when N joined in with a year 1 class. At the start of the session he was very quiet and reserved but given half an hour he was in full swing…
Learning in the Community

Lots of classes have been able to go out to venues in the community this week and have been able to enjoy activities and develop their independence, thanks to our HLTA Dawn organising and planning regular outreach activities. S4 went to home bargains and were very excited to be making choices, stretching to reach items they wanted and using their skills to pay at the till. On Wednesday and Thursday of this week classes 2 and 5 have enjoyed spending time out in the community somewhere different for the first time…
