Panathlon at Bolton Stadium

Today pupils from S5 travelled to the stadium in Bolton to take part in a Panathlon.

The group took part in Boccia & Kurling alongside teams from a range of other special schools from the region.

Panathlon is a national charity which gives young people with disabilities and special educational needs every year the opportunity to take part in competitive sport. We first took part last year and had another brilliant day out, meeting other young people and taking part in different sports.

The pupils also enjoyed visiting Bolton Stadium, which is the home ground of Bolton Wanderers football club.

Our Newfield team did us proud and were engaged and very well behaved - at the end, everyone received a fantastic Panathlon 24 medal - they were all delighted with them.
