Life skills in and out of School

Students in TG3 have had another busy week getting up to lots of exciting adventures, working to develop their confidence, independence and life skills.

They have been out in the sunshine, working on gardening skills and creating ‘fairy houses’ out of natural materials to decorate our trees and provide shelter for insects!

They used physical skills and collaboration skills working together to make them, and hang them.

They have also been out on one of their weekly community visits - they all love going out and walk well, developing road safety skills, interact well with members of the public and staff and especially communicating to order their snacks in the cafe.

Some of them make choices from what is on offer, some of them are learning to use the professional toaster to make their own toast, some of them just like people watching and some of them actually like tidying up for other people!

As you can see from the photos, they all really enjoy the time they spend in school and out, and are developing their life skills for life after school.
