Remembering Captain Tom - 100 Activity Day 2021

Today we joined others across the country in celebrating the lovely Captain Tom. His family asked for people to join in completing 100 of a different activity in celebration of what would be his 101st Birthday and in remembrance of his efforts in raising money for the NHS last year through his 100 laps of his garden. We encouraged all staff and children to join in with completing 100 of various activities based on their needs and interests, individually or as part of a group. Ramadan Mubarak!

We would like to wish all of our Newfield Families who are joining in with this special time of year a very Happy Ramadan. As our friends and families begin the holy month of fasting, we wish them, along with the millions of Muslims around the world a blessed and generous month.

Happy Easter!

We’ve had a fun week, with some nice spring weather that has meant children have been able to spend more time outdoors - doing lots of playing as well as Easter egg hunts! During the Easter holidays some staff are coming to school to develop the grounds in the sensory garden - we’ve had some donations, but if you know anyone or want to donate a bag of soil some plants, seeds or anything nice for our garden, please get in touch!

Easter Events

Children have enjoyed sensory Easter Events this week in both areas of school and it has been a nice way to do some fun activities, like Egg hunts and games as we wind down to the holidays. They have had egg and spoon events, they have chosen paint and dripped it onto egg shapes before dragging a squeegee through the paint to make a marble effect. Red Nose Day 2021

Full Return to School!

This week we have all been very happy to see a full return to school, with most of our children and staff being able to get back into Newfield! A few children and staff are still having to stay safe at home and we are working to support them until they can get back in - hopefully very soon. Staff are being tested twice each week, most have had vaccinations and they are all wearing PPE, so we are making it as safe as we can for our fantastic children and staff…

World Book Day 2021 part II

End of Half Term Celebrations - Valentine's and Chinese New Year!
