Summer Staff Wellbeing 23

As we all know, we take the wellbeing of our staff very seriously, as we want them to be happy and well in order to be in the best possible place to support our children.

Last week we held a serious of staff fundraiser events, to pay for a treat at then of term.

We held a book swap stall in the atrium £1 for three books, sold tickets for a raffle, did a football team competition, held a guess the sweets in the jar competition, sold items on the tuck shop, some lovely lunches, lassi drinks and cakes - all made/donated by staff, for staff to buy!

Everyone got involved - Steph won the sweets in jar well-being prize - there were 111 sweets in the jar; Jenny H ( class 4) PORTSMOUTH and Aisha ( Tg2) EVERTON won on the football team cards. There were loads of raffle prize winners who were all very pleased with their treats which were all delivered by the pupils!

Today, with some of the money raised for staff wellbeing, all staff who wanted one had a chippy lunch - A portion of chips plus a selection of gravy, chippy curry sauce, ketchup or mayonnaise, bread & butter – no expense spared!

We held 3 sittings to ensure the children were all well supported, and it was lovely to join colleagues in the Blackburn Hall in this lead up to the summer holidays - and great to spend time chatting and enjoying lunch with summer tunes in the background!

Thanks to Duggie and all at the Harbour Chippy at Shadsworth for providing the lunch and Anna, Sharon and Danielle for collecting and preparing sauces etc
