Harvest Celebrations

On Friday 28th September, we held our harvest assembly. This year, we donated food to a local charity called Nightsafe, which offers help and support to young people who are homeless in the Blackburn area.

Class 4 at Wellybobs Farm

11-19 MOSI Visit

Lady Taverner's Blackpool trip

On Saturday 15th September, Newfield School was invited to Blackpool Pleasure Beach by the Lady Taverners. Five children and four staff were able to go.

Eid Celebrations

Ramadan and Eid fell during the school holidays this year, so on our return we decided to mark this important occasion. To celebrate Eid Ul-Fitr, which marks the end of a month of fasting, we had several things happening in school. The staff and children planned during the week and then all had a fantastic time on Friday.

BwD Olympic Art Competition Winner!

On our return to school at the beginning of September we were delighted to find out that one of our pupils had won a prize in the competition. She won a book, a special pencil and was awarded these along with a certificate in the 11-19 Friday morning assembly by Carl Billet, Assistant Head Teacher. Well done!

Celebration of Achievement Assembly 2012

The Big Sing

Thanks to all the pupils & staff who took part in the ‘Big Sing’ event at King George’s Hall, both during the rehearsal yesterday and last night at the performance – which was EXCELLENT!!!

Jubilee celebrations

Ice creams for Newfield

Today we were delighted to cool down from the recent hot weather with a visit from an ice cream van. The pupils enjoyed a tasty cooling treat from the ice cream van as a reward for all their hard work over the last half term.
