Today we said goodbye to two members of staff, Janet and Tracy, at a special assembly. After a leisurely lunch, both ladies were presented with cards that the children had made, along with flowers and gifts at the afternoon assembly which included a lively performance by the choir. Janet, one of our TAs has worked at Newfield and before that Dame Evelyn Fox School for over 19 years. She spent much of her time working with our older students with PMLD and is also renowned for the support she gave to students working with farm animals on link visits to Myerscough College - she is rumoured to be able to lift a cow! Nurse Tracy has been with our nursing team for five years and has offered invaluable care and support to many children and their families during her time here. They both had a lovely, if tearful, final afternoon with us and they will both be greatly missed - although they are already looking forward to visiting at the Christmas fair and not having to work for the first time!
