Newfield is even more excited than usual today, as it’s one of our favourite days of the year – Children in Need! Pudsey paid us an early morning visit at 10am, just catching some of the children as they were leaving for swimming, gym and DW sports centre visits. As you can see in the picture, he tried to escape to the swimming pool on the bus with our pupils…

To commemorate Remembrance Day, we at Newfield School have been exploring the themes behind the event, trying to give a perspective of what the event means. There were lots of lovely Eid Cards of various designs, materials and shapes made for the ‘Design an Eid Card’ raffle.
Many pupils have put a lot of input into our Eid assembly and worked hard in choosing the verses, videos and various pictures themselves. The hard work paid off as they all performed really well and were confident in their roles. There were many nazams (Islamic poems)…

Today many of our pupils and staff are celebrating Eid Al-Adha. We hope everyone celebrating Eid is having a wonderful time! We have been having a ‘Design an Eid Card’ raffle competition which requires children designing an Eid card to enter.

Today, TG5 attended Blackburn with Darwen’s Diversity event at DW sports centre, where many people from different communities came together to celebrate diversity. It was a wonderful chance to learn about other different cultures…
R1 have been visiting Run – A – Mok indoor play centre each Friday on our community visit. We are really enjoying going to explore all the play equipment and running off lots of energy.
