RRSA Level 1 Assessment Visit

We are absolutely delighted to announce that today we were visited by Pat Peaker, from UNICEF, who spent the day talking to staff and children, looking around the school and assessing our evidence file. This afternoon, Pat informed us that we have now successfully achieved Level 1 of the Rights Respecting School Award, RRSA. She was very impressed with the school, the children, the parents, the governors & the staff and thanked us all on behalf of UNICEF for all of the hard work we have done to ensure that the school community works towards promoting the CRC - Convention on the Rights of the Child. Our next steps in working towards level 2 will see us acting as ambassadors for UNICEF to promote the CRC and children’s rights throughout Blackburn with Darwen and beyond… Thank you all and congratulations to everyone!
