This term, TG5 have been exploring and understanding aspects of being part of a community. To reinforce this learning, we went to Blackburn Royal Hospital to see how different people were working together in the hospital community to maintain our right to care, as stated in Article 23 of the United Nations convention of the rights of the child. We asked questions to a Critical Care Nurse, a porter, a physiotherapist and a cafe assistant. We sat down in a main foyer and watched lots of people rushing around doing different things. One of our students was even recognised by a nurse who had attended to her in the past. It was wonderful to see a vibrant place in our community!
