Sarah Chester
Assistant Head TeacherAbout Sarah Chester.
Sarah is the Assistant Head for the Primary age phase of Newfield.
Sarah leads and manages the department, supporting colleagues and developing opportunities for our primary learners.
Sarah has over eleven years teaching experience working with children with a range of special educational needs across different special schools and local authorities.
She has an interest in developing communication opportunities for children and young people, currently working towards her masters qualification in Language and Communication Impairment in Children at Sheffield University. She works closely with our Speech and Language therapists and is also a qualified Forest School Leader and trained Early Career Teachers (ECTs) mentor.
Sarah has a whole school responsibility for assessment, recording and reporting to measure pupil’s achievements and progress across their time at Newfield.
She also enjoys running and reading.
