  2. The school is a Community Special School.
  3. The name of the governing body is “The governing body of Newfield School”
  4. The governing body shall consist of:
    • a) 2 parent governors
    • b) 1 LA governor
    • c) 1 staff governor
    • d) Headteacher
    • e) 8 co-opted governors
  5. Total number of governors 13
  6. The term of office is 4 years.
  7. This instrument of government comes into effect on 17 January 2023.
  8. This instrument was made by order of Blackburn with Darwen Local Authority on 17 January 2023.
  9. A copy of the instrument must be supplied to every member of the governing body (and the Headteacher if not a governor).
