We want to know what you think about some proposed changes to Newfield School.
What are the changes?
To establish a satellite site to Newfield School, a local authority maintained special school.
The proposal involves the expansion of Newfield School onto an additional site in order to provide additional specialist provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The satellite site will operate as part of Newfield School, with pupils remaining on roll at the main school.
We want to know if you support the proposal, don’t support the proposal, or don’t have a view either way.
We also want to know what your reasons are for the way you think, and any other comments you might have.
Please visit the councils website at https://www.blackburn.gov.uk/consultations/newfield-school-consultation
The consultation runs from Friday 8 May to Friday 12 June 2026.
