Administrator

Administrator Band C – SCP 3-5 37 hours per week - Term time only

£18887 to £19650 salary range pro rata £9.79 to £10.19 per hour

Newfield School is an impressive, well-resourced special school situated in Blackburn, Lancashire providing high quality specialist education, care and therapy for children and young people aged 2 - 19 years with a wide range of learning difficulties including autism, PMLD, SLD, complex medical needs, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed administrator to join our busy, demanding and rewarding school, starting as soon as possible.

You will provide general administration support within a busy school business services team and the role will include Reception and Visitor co-ordination, annual review administration, Governor Administration and Policies and general day to day administration. The role will include the use of SIMS, Parent Mail and other school packages. Experience of this would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.

This role is ideal for highly organised people who have experience of using Microsoft packages (in particular Microsoft Excel) and like variety, multi-tasking and enjoy going the extra mile to help others whilst delivering a great administrative service in a busy and demanding environment.

The working pattern of the post is detailed below:

• 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, with one day finishing at 3.30pm • Actual salary range - £16,397 - £17,059 based on working pattern during term time

Teacher

Teacher Full Time – Permanent Main Pay Range to UPR3 plus up to SEN 2 allowance

Education Health Care Assistant

Education Health Care Assistants -Permanent 32.5 hours or 11.5 hours

£18,887 to £19,650 pro rata salary range £9.78 to £10.18 per hour

Newfield School is an impressive, well-resourced special school situated in Blackburn, Lancashire providing high quality specialist education, care and therapy for children and young people aged 2 - 19 years with a wide range of learning difficulties including autism, PMLD, SLD, complex medical needs, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.

We are looking to appoint a number of enthusiastic and committed Education Health Care Assistants to join our busy, demanding and rewarding school.

Under the direction of teachers and senior staff, you will provide support to individuals and groups of children to access outcomes as outlined in each individual’s Education Health Care Plan.

You will support pupil’s education, health, medical, physical and general care needs following agreed plans, promote effective communication for all pupils using a range of agreed strategies e.g.: Makaton, PECS, communication aides etc. and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Whilst we particularly welcome applicants with experience of working with children and young people, it is more important that you have a child centred approach in working with our very special children as a full programme of training and development will be provided.

Please see details of working patterns below to be worked 39 weeks per year during term time including 5 annual professional development full days:

Hours per Week – 32.5 • Working Pattern – 8.30am to 3.30pm each day • Actual Salary £14,298 - £14,875 based on working part time during term time

Hours per Week – 11.5 • Working Pattern – o 11:30am to 1:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday

o 11:30am to 3pm on Wednesdays

o There may be additional hours available in addition to your contracted hours for those who would want to work them • Actual Salary £5,273 - £5,486 based on working part time during term time

You will also be required to work until 5 pm on six occasions per year in order to undertake training and meet with your class team – these dates will be planned in advance and you will have plenty of notice.
