About Jenny Riley.

Jenny is the Deputy Head Teacher leading on safeguarding and pastoral support for pupils and staff, she leads the Secondary age phase of the school with support from Assistant Head Lois.

Jenny is our Designated Safeguarding Lead with responsibility for pupil health & well-being and is our PREVENT lead. She oversees the annual review process; coordinating Education Health Care Plans, including liaison with healthcare, social care and therapy colleagues. Jenny is the Designated Teacher for Children in Our Care (CIOC) and works closely with our Family Wellbeing Coordinators to support families.

Beginning her teaching career in secondary mainstream teaching Modern Foreign Languages, Jenny moved into special education and has over 20 years experience in this sector. During this time she has achieved a number of advanced qualifications in school senior leadership endorsed by the National College for Teaching and School Leadership including NPQSL.

In addition Jenny has a whole school responsibility for a number of initiatives and areas of national accreditation- Rights Respecting School Award; Leading Parent Partnership Award; Inclusion Quality Mark and the Wellbeing Award for Schools.

She also co-ordinates the programmes for a wide range of students on placement in school from universities and colleges, and is responsible for the school website.
