About Caroline Richens.

Caroline is the Strategic Lead for the Business Services Department within school including Finance, Catering, Reception, Human Resources, Policies and Governance. She leads the department ensuring all policies and procedures are up to dates with new legislation and compliance.

Caroline has over 20 years’ experience working in Local Government and has worked in School Finance, HR and Safeguarding departments prior to joining Newfield. She also volunteered as part of her previous role as a participation champion to seek to ensure the views of Looked after Children were heard.

Caroline holds the ILM Level 5 Diploma for School Business Leaders and the Level 5 Associate CIPD HR qualification.

She is also a parent Governor at a local high school and a Mental Health First Aider.

Caroline works closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governors to assist in all aspects of school life.

Safeguarding

Newfield School is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults as its number one priority.

Full copies of Policies and Procedures related to all aspects of Safeguarding, and the Complaints Policy, are available on request from Rachel Kay, Head Teacher and Designated Senior Lead for Safeguarding and Child Protection.
