Summer Term Learning

We have returned to school for the summer term and lots of fun activities and learning is already well under way! The weather is a bit warmer and so we have all been able to enjoy being outside in the fresh air a little bit more. Children in the school for SEND are thinking about sports and the olympics in their theme this half term. Macy enjoyed some time in our sensory garden…

We’ve had a fun week, with some nice spring weather that has meant children have been able to spend more time outdoors - doing lots of playing as well as Easter egg hunts! During the Easter holidays some staff are coming to school to develop the grounds in the sensory garden - we’ve had some donations, but if you know anyone or want to donate a bag of soil some plants, seeds or anything nice for our garden, please get in touch!
Spring Learning 21

Spring is here and with it a bit better weather and opportunities to learn about new life - our youngest children in school in class 1 have been having some exciting adventures collecting tadpoles from the pond in our sensory garden. Our oldest pupils in the school for Autism have been practising their enterprise skills this term, making and selling items for both mother’s Day and Easter. They made some lovely cards, with a tea bag for pupils and staff to send to their mums! Children have enjoyed sensory Easter Events this week in both areas of school and it has been a nice way to do some fun activities, like Egg hunts and games as we wind down to the holidays. They have had egg and spoon events, they have chosen paint and dripped it onto egg shapes before dragging a squeegee through the paint to make a marble effect. SEND Activities - So Much Fun in School!

Children and staff in the school for SEND have been so excited to be back in the building and able to take part in fun activities at the end of this short half term. In Class 4 they’ve created a cafe in class and enjoyed their first outdoor school session doing mud painting and building their own obstacle courses. Red Nose Day 2021

Full Return to School!

This week we have all been very happy to see a full return to school, with most of our children and staff being able to get back into Newfield! A few children and staff are still having to stay safe at home and we are working to support them until they can get back in - hopefully very soon. Staff are being tested twice each week, most have had vaccinations and they are all wearing PPE, so we are making it as safe as we can for our fantastic children and staff…
World Book Day 2021 part II

Well what a fantastic World Book Day we have had - in school and virtually!
