Summer Trips 2022 - part VII

Lots more trips this week… it’s just levelly for our groups to be able to get out and about and experience some very exciting new places and things!

On Tuesday, Class 5 had a fantastic time at Ark Education Barn, where all of the children loved interacting with all the animals! Sheep, goats, alpacas, chickens, donkeys and guinea pigs were all fed, watered, handled with great care and petted - what a fantastic place!

On Friday, having partied away at the prom the night before, students and staff from TG1 and TG2 went bowling.

They had great fun bowling, having a tasty meal and playing on the arcade games.

Mackenzie and Aqsaa apparently enjoyed the roller coaster simulator with Mackensie laughing during the whole ride, but staff had wobbly legs when they got out!

They were all very tired afterwards!

On Thursday, some of our parents and the Family Wellbeing Coordinators even went on a trip, meeting up in Corporation Park.

They met up and discussed accessible grounds available for young people with autism and disabilities as well as future projects with families and friends of Newfield.

Rabia (parent), Ann Marie and Mathilde organised the coffee morning – the weather wasn’t the best but they discussed lots of projects and we are already planning to have future get togethers in this idyllic location.

Rabia has lots of good ideas of how to further develop the green space and is on the lookout for parent volunteers to hopefully help with this - please get in touch if you are interested.

Mathilde is eating fennel on one of the photos because it is growing there and it reminded her of her childhood in France!
