We began our Sports Week this year with a celebration of our MOVE program in school.
Thank you to everyone that attended our very special MOVE event this morning. The theme for this year’s MOVE Day was SAVE THE PLANET.
MOVE Day is an annual summer event for schools to celebrate the achievements of everybody involved in the MOVE Programme for children who have worked so hard to learn new skills, to parents and staff who have tirelessly supported them.
The pupils enjoyed searching for penguins in the melting polar ice caps, sorting endangered rainforest creatures in the long grass, creating a safari environment for the desert animals, ‘overfishing’ with our nets in the ocean, counting the near extinction animals through the rainforest circuit, making parrot collages, swimming through the ocean with space blankets and ocean drums, moving though the bars avoiding the jellyfish stings and stepping on sound switches.
4D Projections, lights, sounds and sensory props helped to fully immerse ourselves with the theme; the pupils amazing posters and art work were displayed everywhere.
It was so lovely to welcome parents and carers to the event and great to see our MOVE governor Fiona join us too.
Well done to all you brilliant planet savers – you were GREAT!
