Happy Halloween and Half Term break

To finish off our first autumn half term, we’ve been taking part in lots of fun, Halloween themed learning this week! Yesterday we had a spooky, themed wheelchair dance session. Cinnamon class have been engaging in lots of Autumn themed activities including exploring a pumpkin story with small and big pumpkins and a focus on communication.

We held a Halloween enterprise, with lots of stalls selling items and treats - there was a raffle with one lucky - surprised - winner getting a hamper of goodies!

Olive class have made items to sell at our Halloween enterprise. They made ghost lollies by covering them with tissue paper and then drawing faces on them.

They also made some sock pumpkins. They helped to fill the socks with rice and then put stuffing in them.

The students ran a stall in school to sell the items that they made with one student helping to give out the prices of the items the stalls.

Quartz class have been to the 4D studio and dressed up in Halloween costumes.  They found a really big spider and tried to scare each other with it.   They’ve scooped out and carved Halloween pumpkins, played games and enjoyed Halloween songs.

Pupils in our therapeutic provision were busy all week making decorations, party food and invitations for their first ever party! Students and staff from Cherry, Coral and Beehive class joined them, alongside some familiar faces from SLT!

Thank you to all the staff who attended for showing your support and thank you to parents who kindly donated some Halloween treats . The students all enjoyed positive social interactions, games and of course, lots of dancing!

What a spectacular way to end the half term - we hope everyone has a lovely break and we look forward to seeing you in November for the lead up to Christmas!
