We’ve had a great time coming back together as the Newfield Family after our long summer holidays. It has been really good to see everyone, and get back to learning, playing and growing together. We also have lots of new children, and some new staff who we are getting to know.
Over the summer, we had work done on our Studio and Hall spaces, and now have our 4D equipment up and running - pupils have been enjoying trips to space with the images and sounds, and touch responsive screens.
It isn’t just our pupils who take part in learning - some of our staff had training with Lauren from 4D to help us to learn how to program the amazing studios so that we can turn the rooms into all sorts of different environments…who knows where the rooms will take us next?
There have also been lots of getting to know you activities, with some classes showing lots of wonderful engagement in Attention Autism and fantastic studio sessions.
We’ve had good weather to play out on the park, and older students have already started to work on lifeskills… having a laugh while they work and joining in assemblies to celebrate!
We are all hitting the ground running and developing our routines, working on transitions and developing relationships.
So, back to school, back to lifelong learning for all - keep checking our posts for more exciting updates.
