Newfield Festival 2026

Today we held our annual NewFest Festival and it was yet again absolutely amazing!

The sun shone, but there was a nice breeze so the weather was perfect for us to enjoy all the activities outside as well as in the building (unlike last year and the soggy donkeys!). The bunting was up and everyone wore their festival outfits…

There was a huge variety of exciting things going on all over the school grounds and building - The brilliant soft play party bus, traditional fair ground games - coconut shy, hook a duck, inflatable ring toss game and bean bag target games - Vicki and AnnMarie were in charge of the candy floss which went down very well!

Lunch was a party picnic, completed by ice cream and sprinkles… if the candy floss didn’t give you enough sugar!

We had festival hair, make-up, temporary tattoo artists on hand to get everyone ready to party and into the festival mood.

There were chill out zones with pamper stations, a fire pit where you could make your own s’mores by toasting marshmallows over open fire, a rockpool experience where you could handle and see some sea creatures, there was an Art Station, where each child could make a magnet tile – using ceramic paint pens or paint, which brought out our creative side and was a nice souvenir to take home.

We were spoiled for choice with the entertainment - we had fun with Wacky Woody - children’s entertainer - who put on a magic show, Ray Bubbles provided some bubble sparkle both inside - and then in a big way out in the sensory garden, which everyone loved!

Our friend Peter Adamson, aka the music man entertained by singing for smaller groups, and Just Imagine came again and delivered a K-Pop live performance that was a huge success.

This NewFest extravaganza was planned and organised for the first time this year by assistant head Katrina - and we think she did a great job! Our children and staff had a fantastic day, lots of smiles, fun and memories created…

We want to say a big thank you to everyone for their support to ensure the children had a great time, including all the people who worked behind the scenes - festival day really is a whole Newfield effort, with everyone from all areas of school getting involved - and it’s brilliant - because we love going above and beyond for our pupils.
