Visit to Stonyhurst 2026

Some of our pupils report having had the best day ever this week!

Every Thursday throughout the year, our friends from Stonyhurst College come to join us in wheelchair dancing, building relationships and learning about inclusion.

As a reciprocal visit some of our younger children, along with their staff, are invited to go to visit the beautiful Stonyhurst College and grounds - and Wednesday was that day!

They started with a dancing session before being treated to a visit from Piccachu and Elsa. Elsa sang to them, read them a story and offered them a variety of sensory Disney related objects.

There was also face painting and temporary tattoos and the children all had their photographs taken with the ‘stars’.

They had lunch in the sunshine, spent time on the lawn, free to move and stretch before having a walk around the grounds and feeding the ducks.

They all came away with goody bags and big smiles - it certainly looks like a very good day!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special and ensured it ran so smoothly, particularly our great friends from Stonyhurst.
