Building @ Newfield

Carefoot builders have been on site at school and busily working away on building our new complex Needs area of school - literally from the ground up - since last September. They are doing an amazing job and some staff have already been able to visit the new area, which now looks like a building, rather than a building site!

The team offered an opportunity to give a talk about the building work in school to some of our students.

Today, Jason and his team came into school to talk about the work they have been doing to build the new classrooms. Sammy the builder brought us work sheets, colouring and sweets to enjoy.

They brought along their Mascot, Sam Site Safe and the students enjoyed a range of activities, dressing as a builder, puzzle sheets and learning about the construction trade.

This was a great careers opportunity for our learners, particularly those with an interest in construction and we are very grateful to them for spending the time with us to tell us about our exciting new build.

We look forward to showing you around the new area which will be open to children from September 2026.
