WonderDome comes to Newfield

Today our Key Stage 2 classes have been visited by Ben from WonderDome, who brought a mobile planetarium for us to explore.

The giant inflatable dome was set up in one of our halls and allowed us to immerse ourselves in Space! Ben talked us through the solar system, stars and galaxies as we travelled through space… And we sang a few songs for good measure. We were able to ask questions and pupils and adults learnt a lot.

This event rounds off our topics Day and Night/ Light and Dark and What makes the World Go Round? perfectly, allowing the children to see up close some of the concepts on space light and darkness they have been exploring in classrooms over the term.

All of the pupils engaged fantastically well and were mesmerised by the projections and sound effects.

A huge thank you to Ben who gave us an expertly presented show that was accessible for all our learners.
