Complex Needs Developments

Anyone who has been up to school since September will have noticed - we’ve got the builders in! We are having a new, purpose built space creating 5 classrooms with lots of features which is bespoke to make the perfect environment and access for our most physically complex needs learners. So, you might not be able to park very easily, but we think it will be worth it!

As part of these exciting developments, we have created another sensory space in school - and today some of our older learners have really enjoyed time in the new sensory room. It’s been lovely for TG1 to be able to get out and access the new space in school, complete with lots of switch accessible equipment to encourage engagement.

S1 have been trying out the new virtual sensory space on helpkidzlearn using two switches connected to the board. You can see what Gemma and the guys are doing in the fantastic video below!

They have also been working hard on strengthening our muscles in forest school exploring animals and flowers.
