Life skills across school

Class 8 have been very busy today - first they enjoyed a cooking session this morning - they cleaned the tables and their hands, then explored cutting and spreading skills and trying new flavours.

This afternoon they have been working off their food, enjoying their gymnastics PE sessions. They explored the shape game - getting their bodies into different gymnastics positions and practicing their jumping skills.

S5 have been creating their very own Monet masterpieces for part of their Art Award project this week.

They made some playdough, which was a good opportunity to practice mixing and pouring skills then used the dough to make some vegetables from their story - it was a lot of fun and quite messy.

Some of the pupils were practising walking skills using equipment, whilst others were developing independent skills sorting out the class washing!

S3 have been learning about working in a cafe. They learned how to set a table. Some children gave out plates, knives, forks , spoons and cups.

After they had a placemat with a place setting to check where each item went. Then, we pretended to be in a cafe and a few of the students went round asking if they wanted a drink or a snack. They really enjoyed the activity.
