Snowy Training Days 2026

Staff have been working hard the last couple of days to make sure that their training is up to date so that we can all support our fantastic children to the highest standards.

The site team had prepared the site and the staff all braved the snow and ice on Monday and Tuesday and have been doing a wide range of different continuous professional development.

The nursing team have made sure all are up to date and confident with managing Epilepsy and Asthma, as well as staff having refresher training in gastrostomy management.

Our in house Team Teacher Tutors have been training staff in how to approach and support children who may be having a difficult time, so that we can help children to regulate quickly, safely and calmly.

Staff have been taking part in Moving and Handling training, including experiencing how it feels to be hoisted, so that they are fully cognisant of why it is so important that they support children with confidence and reassurance.

Classes have been setting up activities ready for the new term.. and most of the snow has now gone - just enough left to have some fun tomorrow building snowmen in their wellies with the children!
