Prom 2025

This evening we celebrated with the social highlight of the year for our older learners, the annual Newfield Prom.

The hall was decorated with sparkle, balloons and beautiful dining spaces… there was a mocktail bar… photo booth…and ambient lighting.

The mood was set with live entertainment from our very talented singer Karl (who is also a member of our site team) who played a range of songs and sang to get the evening going with a swing.

Our leavers and their plus ones, along with other post 16 students were welcomed to the Prom via the read carpet and came in all their finery - amazing dresses, smart suits and beautiful hair and make up… they looked fabulous.

The leavers had chosen the food and along with snacks cooked by some of our wonderful staff, we had a brilliant catering provider - the 112 pizza van came and made freshly cooked, wood fired pizzas in a range of delicious flavours - they were very popular indeed!

There was a lovely cake made especially for the prom, served with ice creams.

Following the meal, we presented leavers with their special Class of 25 T-shirts and read out the ‘Proud Letters’ for each one.

We then watched the staff leavers video in which lots of our staff wished our leavers a fond farewell - many of them have been with us for a very long time, and we have watched them grow into wonderful adults.

It was a magical evening, shared by students, family members and staff and we ended with a good old fashioned traditional Newfield disco, where everyone danced together and ended a wonderful occasion with their Newfield Family.
