Allotment

S2 have been soaking up the wonderful sunshine when they have been up to Teak St Allotments on St. James Road in Blackburn.

The students have been digging up the weeds in the flower beds.

They really got stuck into the task. They cleared lots of the weeds from quite a few of beds.

Then they have planted some lettuce, radish and spinach seeds.

They got water from the water butt and filled the watering cans, to make sure that the new plants and seeds are well watered.

They also watered the strawberry plants that were already planted and are growing well.

The students and staff have worked hard in the great outdoors and had some exercise and fun at the allotment in the sun!
