Bikeability with YPS @ Newfield

Today some of our Post 16 students took part in Bikeability, working with staff from BwD YPS (Young People’s Services).

They learnt to control a bike and followed instructions to slow down, brake and stop.

They learnt about the importance of wearing a helmet and how to stay safe on the road.

The students really enjoyed themselves and showed their independence skills as well as listening to and following instructions from less familiar people

They used a range of different bikes including hand pedalled, trikes and two wheeled bikes and showcased their ability to control a vehicle beautifully.

Well done everyone!
