Mad Science

Today our Primary classes had the opportunity to meet a Scientist and experience some fun experiments up close.

Our first sessions focused on energy and motion and lots of fun was had with snakes in a can, pecking woodpeckers and peddling to make the plasma light come on.

The children loved the hands ove experiences and the snakes got lots of laughs as they made us jump!

The second session was focused on Mad Mixtures, and we mixed materials together to create our own pots of slime to take home, choosing a colour and following the instrcutions carefully to get the right consistency.

We then explored different ways to make a volcano eruption and the groups really enjoyed watching the foam come up and out of the tube!

Thank you to Mad Science for providing a fun, engaging and scientific day!
