Lunar New Year 2025

S8 have explored Chinese new year today and made some snakes for racing like in the zodiac story of the animal race across the river. 2025 is the year of the snake.

They folded paper and decorated the paper snakes in different colours and styles.

They then set out ‘rivers’ using class chairs and tubing, and used straws to blow the snakes across the rivers.

This became a full blown snake Olympic race! Scoring for the races was kept on the board and in the end after knock out rounds, Finley’s snake Ben won the crown.

Kung Hen Fat Choi! - Happy Lunar New Year.
