Music is a great motivator for many of us, and at Newfield we love to promote an interest and any special talents in music. Back in December, Phill Taylor- Fleming, a professional solo acoustic guitarist and experienced and qualified music tutor, came to Newfield with a variety of instruments and worked with an Explorer class and some of our KS5 classes.
The children sang and played along some of their favourite Christmas songs.
They were also introduced to some new instruments that Phill brought with him and they had a go at playing them and accompanying Phill on the guitar.
It would appear we have some very talented percussionists and singers and we are looking forward to having Phill back in this new year to do some more music work with our other classes.
