BwD SEND Pupil Voice Forum

During the autumn term, Councillor Julie Gunn, Executive Member for Children, Young People & Education from Blackburn with Darwen borough council, came to school along with Harriet Orgill, Designated Social Care Officer for SEND and a film crew, to meet some of our young people and get their contribution for a short film they were making about the creation of a SEND Voice Forum in BwD, to ensure that all young people have a voice and have an opportunity to be involved in decision making.

They also spoke with our headteacher Rachel and there are contributions from young people, Appletrees staff and other school leaders.

Here is the video, explaining what they are setting up - If you are interested in joining the SEND Voice Forum or would like to hear more about it, please contact them by email - sendyouthvoice@blackburn.gov.uk
