Children in Need 2024

Today we joined the nation in celebrating Children in Need - looking at raising funds to support this worthy cause. children and staff have come dressed up - in puddly outfits and T-shirts, spotty clothes or their favourite relaxed outfits!

We have had 2 special assemblies and then enjoyed a Pudsey Disco which the big man himself joined us for, taking part in dancing and posing for photos!

All week, children have been doing themed activities, including colouring, baking puddly biscuits and cakes, doing sensory trails and walks lined to children in need - we’ve even had a go at Pudsey yoga!!

Earlier in the week, in S3’s computing lesson for “creating art via digital media” they used paint tools to create Pudsey pictures. Kai showed his friends how to use kleki, an online paint programme, and other pupils used the shape tool to create some spots for pudseys bandana. They used the fill button to change their colours. How great is that?!

This morning we had a pop up tuck shop selling a range of sweet and savoury treats as well as some Children in Need pencils and badges.

TG1 enjoyed making our entries for the Pudsey colouring competition and dressing up in Pudsey ear headbands. Winners of the art competition were presented with prizes this afternoon.

E4 had a great time making spotty biscuits and painting spots on their artwork.

We have had a lovely day and lots of us are looking forward to watching all the fun on BBC1 tonight - thanks to everyone who has taken part and don’t forget, if you haven’t already, you can donate using the QR code in the poster below.

Have a great weekend!

We paid the cash we raised in school into our local ASDAN - just under £50 - but hopefully we raised lots more using the online QR code!
