This term class 3 have to made lots of cakes during our sensory baking session.
As our theme is ‘Light and Dark’ we decided to make chocolate fudge cake, carrot cake (as carrots make you see in the dark!!!), fruit tea loaf and lemon drizzle cake.
The children have enjoyed using their senses to explore the ingredients.
Today we decided to hold a cake stall and sell our delicious creations. We sold all of the cakes and also offered a sensory exploration of ingredients to our customers, which included staff, pupils and even the dietician who was holding clinic in school - everything in moderation!
The children has lots of fun and looked very cute in their bakers outfits.
