Secondary Performance - Raya and the Last Dragon

Today the students in our secondary department put on their performance of ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’.

Relating to the Key Stage 4 theme of Asia, the students explored characters, dances and costumes related to this continent with artistic flare!

In the performance itself there was shadow puppetry, batik style capes and of course acting and dancing - all of which children had made, rehearsed and filmed with support from staff!

The pupils were thrilled to show off all their hard work in front of their peers and a large group of parents. It was lovely to see family members in the audience and joining us for a chat and refreshments afterwards.

A big well done to the students - We have some stars in the making.

And a big thank you to all of the staff who supported the young people to show off their skills and talents, and to teacher Georgie for using her own artistic and directorial skills to showcase our wonderful Newfield Family.
