Outreach Visits

Our children love getting out and about in the community, playing, learning new social skills, developing independence and building their cultural capital.

This afternoon, Class 5 have had a fabulous trip to Appletrees, the BwD short breaks provision that many of our children attend.

They all enjoyed playing on the bikes, swings, in the play house and on the the climbing frame and going down the slide.

They may look a little bit messy going home - but look at the smiles on their faces!

Earlier in the week, Class 1 enjoyed a visit to Witton Park, where they had a lovely walk round and were very excited to see the ponies and other animals in their sheds, sheltering from the wind and rain all nice and cosy.

Just going out of school, getting on the bus, travelling safely and spotting local landmarks is lots of fun - then getting off somewhere new and exploring a different place makes our outreach activities really enjoyable and exciting learning opportunities.
