World Mental Health Day 2023

Today we celebrated all things that make us happy as part of World Mental Health Day 2023.

We take everyone’s wellbeing really seriously here at Newfield, so pupils and staff made sure they spent time today to make themselves and each other happy. Here are some photos of people enjoying things that make them happy.

We are happy when we are…..having a neck massage while eating chocolate fudge brownie…. having a foot massage… looking at the tablet while eating chocolate fudge brownie… watching videos on YouTube.

There were lots of activities going on ranging from crafts, cosmic kids yoga activities and drawings of activities that make people happy.

Some of our older students wrote on hands what made them happy and sad, others chilled out with friends in class or in the sensory garden - whilst our younger pupils made feelings monsters!

After school there was a yoga session for staff to help them to relax and unwind.

We hope you all had a great day this optimistic October - we did as you can see from all the smiles!
