Parent Carer Workshop - skin moisture damage

Today we had a fantastic coffee morning hosted by MediCare Plus where Stephanie Reason (senior manager) and Stephanie Clarke (clinical nurse advisor) came to discuss skin moisture damage.

They shared a variety of MediDerma products and offered advice on how to prevent breakdown of skin due to exposure to moisture.

Parents that came had the opportunity to try these products and ask questions, and were supported by Francesca and Cate from our special school nursing team (who provided biscuits!), as well as Family Wellbeing Coordinators AnnMarie and Mathilde.

MediCare Plus are in the process of designing an easy read leaflet about skincare and how to apply the products which parents were able to give feedback on.

We look forward to this leaflet becoming available and will be able to share within school in the future.

Thank you to MediCare Plus for hosting this event at Newfield and a big thank you to the parents that attended - we hope you enjoyed it
