Sports in school and the local community

This week groups have been able to enjoy sporting activities both within school, and also making use of local parks.

S4 enjoyed a session with team games and balls in the Wainwright hall, where they look like they had lots of fun and practised controlling balls when kicking and throwing them, as well as a lot of running around - and wearing cones?!

In S6 pupils and staff enjoyed a walk down the steep hill from school to Queens Park. Fortunately the weather stayed dry and they were able to use the swings, roundabouts and other play equipment.

The children all coped very well being out in the community, they were relaxed, smiling and able to swing, push, rock and burn off some of their energy.

We hope to continue to build on their independence and regulation skills at other venues within BwD - well done guys!
