Independent Life Skills in the Sunshine

Some of our oldest students in TG2 have been busy this week, making the most of the nice weather to get outside and put their life skills to work.

They have been getting very hands on with their up-cycling projects, exploring and trying out new skills.

They have been using screwdrivers to build and put items together, sanding down wooden furniture and using paint brushes to apply an undercoat.

They also ran their weekly Friday Friendship cafe where they were able to have customers sitting inside and out, enjoying their freshly home made cinnamon buns, lemon drizzle and cheese puffs.

As well as having prepared and baked the treats, and made the drinks, they enjoyed taking orders and serving everyone.

Have a lovely sunny half term and see you all soon!
