RRSA Steering Group Meeting April 23

In our RRSA meeting this afternoon we discussed the work we do to support our Love for Kenya charity.

We looked at the photos that we received from Kenya and talked about what our money has been spent on this time. They are hoping to improve their classrooms and build more nursery provision. The message below was sent from our friends in Kenya.

We also discussed our other charity work such has our shoe box appeal; Staff and families donating toiletries to people in need (homeless); Our collection of used glasses that we recycled (UNICEF) and our shoe recycling in partnership with Clarkes - what a lot of good work we do for communities at home and abroad.

This term we are participating in BAG2SCHOOL which we do each year, collecting old clothes and shoes and giving these to be reused an recycles, whilst earning money to support Kenya.

The students made posters to go throughout school to ask for donations which we need in by the beginning of May - Our students also delivered bags to each student to take home and fill.

We then enjoyed some time with our peers and had refreshments.

Below are pictures of our steering group around school and the school in Kenya - we are very lucky.

We want to thank Newfield school for their gift towards Kings Highway School. We intend to furnish and equip the classrooms to be friendly to the learners. Our regards to all the well-wishers out there. We have no words enough that can express our gratitude towards what you are doing for us. Your concern, prayers and gifts have played a very big part to encourage us on.
