Easter Enterprise, Fond Farewell and Happy Holidays

Today was our last day of a busy spring term, and we kept going with lots of activities right up until the end.

All half term older students have been making items linked to Easter, to sell at our Enterprise event.

This afternoon, they set up their stalls again and sold the lovely decorations, cards and sweet treats.

It is a big part of the curriculum once children get older, to develop independence and life skills, and enterprise gives everyone an opportunity to do market research, make and then sell items. Students use the money they earn to buy treats or pay for excursions that they choose later in the year.

TG2 also held an Easter Raffle and Sameena was delighted to bring the main prize, with others winning the many other smaller prizes.

At the end of the day we had assembly where we said goodbye to Jenny Nelson, our Assistant Head in Autism who has worked at Newfield for 13 years - we are sorry to see her go, but happy that she leaves for promotion to deputy head at another school.

We’ve had a great term and are all ready for a bit of a break.

We wish everyone happy holidays and look forward to seeing you in the summer term.
