What an amazing World Book Day we had yesterday! As part of this each class decorated a canvas based on a favourite book to display in the libraries as part of the refresh and update of the school libraries earlier this year.
Classes were inspired by a range of children’s stories including the classics Rainbow Fish, the Gruffalo, Alice in Wonderland, the Lorax, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and the Very Hungry Caterpillar. We also celebrated and shared some more contemporary favourites such as Fing by David Walliams and Supertato.
It’s wonderful seeing such fun and varied art by our learners and enjoying a range of high quality stories together.
We hope our children enjoy using the World Book Day token sent home yesterday and continue to enjoy reading for pleasure at home and at school.
What a very Happy World Book Day 2023!
