Happy Pancake Day everyone - also known as Shrove Tuesday!
Lots of classes around school have been enjoying exploring pancakes today - they have been pouring milk, stirring, weighing flour, mixing, beating eggs, squeezing, having a go at flipping and then tasting them too.
As well as all of the communication work going on - choosing from a variety of toppings to decorate our pancakes and being encouraged to try different ones, some classes used the occasion to do maths - counting the pancakes they put in the pan and making patterns with the fruit toppings, sorting the fruits and naming them all as they put them in the corresponding bowls.
It was flipping good fun!!
