Our RRSA steering group have always tried to support children all around the world through their charitable and awareness raising activities.
They have for a long time collected old glasses and given then to Specsavers. During the covid pandemic we had to stop collecting for a while.
This week, HLTA Chris took a big box of old glasses to Specsavers, which we had collected from students, staff and families.
Specsavers and Vision Aid Overseas have a joint commitment to providing eye care for all those living in Zambia and have continued to make some amazing progress over the last ten years.
Previously there had been very limited provision for the one in four Zambians who desperately required it, with just a handful of qualified optometrists serving the 12 million population back then, now over 18 million.
Please send in your old glasses (not the cases) so that we can continue to help our young people learn about making a difference, and help people in Zambia to see better!
