A Very Busy, Snowy Week!

This week with lots of snow, lots of hard work, cafes, science and Lunar New Year, we’ve all been very busy! In S4 they have read the Chinese New Year story and given each other lanterns and satsumas. To continue the celebrations they made a chow mein stir fry with rice in Food Tech and all enjoyed tasting it at break time.

Pupils did a great job naming all the different vegetables they used. Then they enjoyed playing outside in the snow.

Over at Shadsworth our Autism provision class have been very busy for two weeks with their volcano project.

They made the volcanos out of salt dough, painted them and in the afternoon they pretended to be scientists and made their own erupting volcano using Bicarbonate of soda, white vinegar and food colouring.

It was amazing.

And as part of our linking groups together, older students in TG2 had a visit from pupils in S1 for our ‘Totally2Gether’ cafe, where they enjoyed, bagels, toast, flapjack and drinks. The students did a great job cooking, preparing and running the cafe.

We are ready for the weekend - Kung Hei Fat Choi - Happy New Year - to anyone celebrating.
